Jonathan Lam, Ph.D. is the latest addition to our highly-regarded squash
professional teaching staff. Jonathan is known for his skillful
shot-making. He was a member of Malaysia’s National Men’s Squash Team and he
competed in National Capital Squash’s top league division for many years before
retiring from competition to focus on teaching. Jonathan has an extensive
coaching background. He was the Head Squash Professional at the Chevy Chase
Athletic Club and the Coach of the Girls Varsity Team at the Potomac School in
McLean, VA. When he is not on court, Jonathan works as a licensed
psychologist with a practice in Washington, DC. His interests include
assessment, child and family therapy, forensics and sports psychology.
Jonathan's philosophy: Squash is a sport for life. It is a source of lasting
friendships and good health.
